Kayak Series names
To avoid any possible confusion about kayak models when looking at photos etc - all Neris hybrid folding kayaks (EG Smart / Smart PRO) have a Series logo on the front side deck and all Neris folding kayaks (Alu / Valkure) have a Series logo on the rear deck.
EG - you will only see "NERIS SMART PRO" on all three Smart PRO models

use water craft on UK's waterways, rivers, lakes, etc. Not all inland
water is open to paddlers, some access points / rivers are privately owned
or is bounded by
land which is private, so do check beforehand. Membership of a
canoe union / club is very beneficial.

Kits for NERIS Alu Series kayaks
Need a large kayak for the family but sometimes
want to paddle solo with a smaller kayak at a least possible cost? An Alu Series kayak with a Transformer Kit
might be
the solution for you! Simply assemble a smaller kayak using
frame parts borrowed from the bigger kayak plus use a 'spare' small
kayak skin ....
Or you start small with a single seater NERIS Alu-1, and
then later decide to get a bigger kayak to include a growing family
..... you just need to purchase the respective Transformer Kit
to make the bigger kayak ...... this kit has the extra frame pieces needed plus the bigger version skin.
Transformer Kits are add-on packs for existing
Alu Series kayaks. The Alu Series kayaks are based on
using compatible frame parts - all three Alu kayaks in the Series
have the same bow and stern frame pieces and end cross ribs, so
you
just need to
add
or take away the middle frame sections to create a different sized
kayak plus have the appropriate kayak skin for that 2nd sized boat.
For example - you purchase a NERIS Alu-3, a large multi-seater
seater kayak for the family but from time to time, you may want
to go
paddling
on your own and the Alu-3 might just be too big for yourself to
manage solo. Instead of buying another complete single seater kayak,
you can purchase
a
Transformer
Kit for an Alu-1. This kit comprises of just an Alu-1 kayak skin
plus a few key frame parts.
Note that Transformer Kits does not mean two complete kayaks that
you can use at the same time. You can purchase at a later stage,
Upgrade Packs, to
complete the 'Transformer' kayak as a full standalone kayak.
Transformer Kits can be purchased at any time, not necessarily
together with your 1st NERIS folding kayak purchase, so that your
Alu Series
kayak collection can grow over time.
Considering purchasing a Transformer Kit together with a kayak
now? Cost wise, it is more economical
that the bigger kayak of the two is the normal purchase
and
the smaller
kayak is the Transformer Kit boat rather than the other way round
(small to big).
NB - spray skirts and extra bag (for skin) are not included
